3. Create a new folder named business site. (put inside your last name folder.)
4. Inside that folder make a folder named images. This is where all your pictures and buttons, logo headings for each page will go. (note to link your images you will have to add a folder it will look like this <img src=images/button1.gif>
5. Below is the design we will follow. If you would like your navigation at the side, you will have to use tables…Ms. Lang can show you how.
Go to cooltext or another online graphic generator, and make
a heading and button for each page. Save to the images file. Memberships Classes Contacts Services Home Cool text graphic header with appropriate heading for
your page ie Memberships.
6. After all your graphics are made, go into simple text and make up your first page, the home page. Set the color, insert your top heading graphic – program all your buttons. (you have not made all your pages yet, however you know what you are going to call them from the list above.) After the color is set and all the graphics are in place, save the page as index.html. All home pages all called index. Next do a “save as” and name the page your second page in the website, repeat until you have a page for each page in your site. You may want to change the title and insert the correct image header as you work one each page.
7. Check all your links.
8. Now you are ready to add content to each page. Make each page count. Put meaningful, ORGINAL content on each page. (don’t copy and paste from other websites—as you know that is plagiarism and will automatically get you an F on the project. Be sure each page has a nice graphic that is aligned correctly. Work efficiently – sites are due this week!
